UGREEN Charger

UGREEN had always seemed like one of the more trustworthy brands on AliExpress. I usually avoid buying electronics from AliExpress, but about three months ago, I saw the charger below featured in a YouTuber’s recommended products. Trusting the UGREEN brand, I decided to give it a try.

Well, that turned out to be a mistake.

The first time I plugged it in, the LED seemed to light up briefly, indicating that it was connected. But after that, it completely stopped working. No response whatsoever.

So now I’m left with a 40,000-won brick.

partial refund

When I told the seller what had happened, they asked me to send a video showing the problem. So I hurriedly filmed one and started the refund process. That was when I made my second mistake.

I failed to notice that there was an option to request a partial refund without returning the product. Somehow, that ended up being the option I selected, and after receiving a refund of around 8,000 won, the whole process was closed.

Of course, part of this was due to my own mistakes, but it was still the moment when whatever trust I had in AliExpress suddenly came crashing down.

What made it even worse was that a Tooki charger, which I had ordered at the same time for only around 8,000 won, worked perfectly fine. That just made my rather foolish decision to spend much more on the UGREEN charger feel even more ridiculous.

Every time I look at it, it annoys me. But throwing it away somehow feels like a waste, so it just sits there.

Honestly, it’s a little depressing.
And one thing is certain: I’m never buying anything electrical from AliExpress again.

The end.
